Fall 2025 News - a sample Newsletter

I hope your Fall has begun well. I know the weather has (just!) turned here in Ontario, but summer is still with me. And as Thanksgiving approaches, my heart is full of gratitude, including for you, for reading this note. Thank you. 🙏🏻

My September was unusually full and exciting. But before I go there, I want to share one moment of deliciousness from the summer. I'm still savouring the joy I experienced jumping off the back of our boat on a very hot summer day into the beautiful cool lake at our family cottage in Quebec with my niece and nephew for the first time. It was truly glorious! I felt about half my current age! Highly recommend!

So, the full and exciting September... The Coralus unSummit was a big part of that. See Coralus below. Barbara Frensel and I also facilitated a session for a room full of incredible female lawyers. That was so meaningful to me. While I enjoyed facilitating on my own in firms before the pandemics, it's so much more fun, easeful and a richer experience for all when co-facilitating with Barbara. We're excited to expand this work together. We finished off the month with a potent Salon on The Taboo and Power of Pride. And we're looking forward to returning to U of T Law School later this month.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend, and happy thanksgiving if you're Canadian.

Warmly, Milisa

Coralus

I'm still processing all that transpired at the Coralus 10th Anniversary unSummit at Saunders Farm outside of Ottawa. It was a magical time. Bubble blowing was involved - see the photo above. We were bussed to the farm from downtown Ottawa each day and on the second day Vicki Saunders the Founder of Coralus hopped on the bus with bubbles in hand.

I felt so expanded by all the inspiring conversations I had and witnessing so many brilliant people share their gifts in such meaningful ways. Coralus continues to give me hope for the future of humanity. Nothing less than that.

And now I'm getting ready for a new Coralus Pod (small group) I'm catalyzing with my friend and colleague Susan Mazonson called Inviting IN the Wisdom and Power of the Feminine. It's already full. The topic spoke to people. I decided it's time for me to be even more overt about how important this topic is to me and why. I will share more in another email. In the meantime, have a look at the video I'm recommending below.

Finally, Coralus is in the midst of a Collective Reset. You can learn more about this exhilarating time here.

Making Room For You Salons

Our next Salon will be on Thursday October 30 from 6:30 pm-9 pm in downtown Toronto. Barbara and I are still cooking up the theme. If you can be in the city that day, we'd love to have you. You can indicate your interest in joining us here at our new Salon webpage. We'll share the theme and open registration soon.

Milisa Recommends

I recommend this video, Merchants of Light an interview with Professor Betty Kovacs - I love how clear Betty Kovacs is as she traces and explains the history of the Divine Feminine and the intersection of the mystical and the scientific. I found it expanding and so validating. H/t to Barbara Frensel.

Thought-Provoking Quote

H/t my new friend Thu Nguyen of Nusqool (loved my recent retreat there, btw) for reminding us of this quote at our last Salon on The Taboo and Power of Pride - it never fails to move me. I usually replace God with the Universe. Feel free to make your own substitutions.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

A Potent Practice

In honour of Canadian Thanksgiving 🍁 but really for every day, here's a small and mighty ritual I started doing during the pandemic, inspired by B J Fogg's book Tiny Habits where he teaches the ABC's of planting the tiniest habit in your day, backed by research.

Anchor: As soon as I remember, once my feet have hit the floor upon getting out of bed,

Behaviour: I say to myself, “I am so grateful to be alive and healthy."

Celebration*: Hip wiggle

(This is very different from how I used to get out of bed – with my first thought being, “Ugh I didn’t get enough sleep.” Not enough-ness to start the day!)

* Make sure you do the little celebration even if part of you judges it as silly. The research shows this is key to embedding the habit as a positive thing in your body. Think about some gesture or word you use spontaneously when you are really pleased and incorporate that, like when you receive some really good news or your favourite team wins "the" game.

I have so many more practices rituals and habits where this came from. Reach out and book a complimentary Discovery Session if you'd like to learn how small and mighty tweaks in your day can end up leading you in the direction of even greater fulfillment and leadership. Yes, your yearning for More, for that internal sweet feeling of "success", is speaking the truth. Make (More) Room For You starting with a Discovery Session. I'd be delighted to explore with you.
