Want to Unlock the "Fullness of Life", Even Now?

I hope you found a way to get some rest and enjoyment this past weekend, in the midst of these extremely challenging times.

I really needed some rest and thankfully, I did get some this weekend. A highlight was snuggling under layers of blankets with my husband on our porch overlooking the lake, with an enormous cup of tea, reading Cassandra Speaks: When Women Are the Storytellers, The Human Story Changes, by Elizabeth Lesser.

I’m feeling super grateful for Elizabeth Lesser’s brilliance – she’s naming so many things that I’ve been experiencing or have witnessed other women experiencing.

Gratitude has been a theme for me the last few weeks, with Canadian Thanksgiving weekend just passed.

Susan Ackman, one of my amazing clients, sent me this quote for Thanksgiving (thank you Sue!), with a note “words to live by”… so true!

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life... it turns what we have into enough... and more, it turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity... it can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home and a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow. - Melodie Beattie, author of Playing it by Heart: Taking Care of Yourself No Matter What.

(Funny story… I just sent Sue a text thanking her again for sharing the quote with me and asking if I could use her name here to acknowledge her brilliance. And she responded “yes” but said I was the one who originally shared it with her. Hilarious! That must have been years ago. I felt like I was reading it for the first time and it resonated so strongly for me… So you see, we cannot become ourselves by ourselves! We have to keep reflecting back and forth and sharing with each other as we rise!)

The words in the quote that have been resonating most for me (this time!) are “unlocks the fullness of life”.

More than ever these days it's important to Make Room for gratitude in our lives. And it's likely easier to do than you think, with very potent researched-backed benefits. (If you want to geek out on gratitude with me, read these: Appreciating the Power of Gratitude for Greater Happiness Part 1 and Part 2.)

Leverage the power of gratitude and unlock the fullness of your life right now!

It's never too late to Make Room For You!

With gratitude, Milisa
