Happy International Women's Day!

I thought something fun might be in order today as we celebrate International Women's Day, so wanted to share this quick story.

Not too long ago, I got a new car – a Mini Countryman. I liked it a lot… except for the name.

When I had to name my car for our GreenP Parking App here in Toronto, I rebelled and named it the “Countrywoman”. My family laughed but also started calling it that.

Fast forward to last Mother’s Day: my lovely, thoughtful husband got me a special gift. They would change the letters on my car so that it reads “Countrywoman” on the back. He finagled something with the Dealership to make it happen. They used an extra M and turned it upside down to make a W. :)

Finally, in December when putting on the winter tires, I had the letters added in.

So now I drive a Mini Countrywoman around town.

She finally feels like my car!

And apparently, when a couple of the reps at the Dealership saw what we had done, they called some of their clients who said they also wanted to rename their cars… so now I am watching for more Countrywomen on the streets of Toronto!
