Inspiration at the SheEO Summit #IWD2021

Courage and inspiration

Happy International Women’s Day!

I spent the day being inspired by some amazing, courageous, visionary women at the SheEO Summit - a very satisfying way to spend #IWD2021! (The Summit continues tomorrow and there's still time to register for free and join us!)

SheEO is a global community of radically generous women building a $1B perpetual fund to support women working on the World’s To-Do List.

I’ve said before that the existence of SheEO and the women in the community give me hope for humanity and our world. (Here's a post I wrote about why I first became a SheEO "Activator", a woman who contributes to the fund. The funded businesses are called "Ventures".)

The photo here shows the morning panel with our founder Vicki Saunders, along with two Ventures, Nayson Saran, Co Founder and CEO of CANN Forecast and Teara Fraser, Founder of Iskwew Air, Canada's first female-founded Indigenous airline as well as the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, and finally Prime Minister Justin Trudeau!

Last week, SheEO shared some incredible news: the Bank of Montreal, one of the big banks here in Canada, matched our funding to the tune of $1.2 Million so we were able to fund 24 Ventures this year instead of 12. I didn't mention that these are 0% interest loans!!! When I heard this news, it felt like the ground beneath me was shifting. It felt seismic, in a good way!

If you’re not already a part of SheEO, I encourage you to explore getting involved. I’d love to be with you there. Support women like the newest Canadian Ventures SheEO is funding this year – just announced today. Here are all the Ventures.

You could also join us for the second day of the Summit, tomorrow. Register for free here.

Again, Happy International Women’s Day!

Warmly, Milisa
